Street Fighter x Tekken. It's happening.

Capcom have been in the business of making dreams come true this generation with every single one of their beat 'em up releases. This is just another gift from the foundation. Not just an announcement, but a teaser trailer and screenshots to boot! I wish I could be excited. I love Street Fighter and I love Tekken . But at no point did I ever want the two together in a game. Thankfully not everybody is a stick in the mud like me. Trends on Twitter and the response at Comic con when Capcom first showed this game revealed that the reality of this game caused fanboys to spray more than Kazuya did in the trailer. The Street Fighter and Tekken cross over is being handled as the ultimate fan pleaser - as it will see the release of 2 games. Capcom will be developing Street Fighter x Tekken which will utilize Street Fighter IV 's engine. Whilst Namco will develop Tekken x Street Fighter which will make use of the engine which runs the Tekken games. Both games are being developed i...

Yakuza 4, looking essential

Yakuza has always held a place in many gamers hearts, because it's pretty much as close to Shenmue 3 as anybody is going to get. A game which has clearly had an influence on Yakuza . But it's great that Sega have been able to spin it into a solid series of it's own, and they're wasting no time. Yakuza 4 is about to release in Japan, just as Yakuza 3 is releasing in North America and Europe! So many mini-games, down right stupid beatdowns and side quests were shown that I didn't even see a hint of a story! This game looks crazy, over-the-top, Japanesey as hell and I love it! It's making my love for Shenmue resurface all over again, and is making me want to go back to Japan like yesterday. I think I might need this game. I've not yet played through any of the Yakuza games, but I really like the look of this one.

Chris & Sheva get sexy for the reunion

Given the effort that Chris put into getting his buff physique, it's only natural he'd want to show it off, and catch a nice tan whilst he's kicking it in the hazed heat of Kijuju. As well as cater to his gay fanbase. And would you catch a look at Sheva! Titties about to pop out. Tight corset belt. Short skirt. Patent leather knee highs. A slapper version of a fairy tale character costume. Capcom did not miss a beat with her outfit! You can catch Chris and Sheva showing the world how to stay sexy in the midst of an infection outbreak after the jump. The Merceneries reunion looks like what you'd expect: the original mode with some tweaks. 'The mines' look to be even more of a bitch with rabid dogs and fat black men with poles on the loose to make your life a misery - alongside Molotov cocktail slinging locals and the Reaper. 'Public assembly' is now overrun with those annoying insect things - the last things you'd want grabbing a hold of you when The ...

Final Fantasy XIII's 'Feel the pulse' trailer

I know I'm only setting myself up for the fall by placing so many of my hopes for a good Final Fantasy game on XIII . Especially seeing as Square Enix have continued to drop those hopes like a glass vase on a laminate floor since Final Fantasy VIII . But I'll be damned if XIII 's trailers don't look even the slightest bit enticing, and as though it could possibly be the one to turn things around. I'm deluding myself just a little here, but I need something to believe in! Square Enix's 'Feel the pulse' trailer is heavy on the action. With smatterings of drama and a starring feature from new lady to the crew: Oerba Yun Fang . We even get to see Lightning cry. With every trailer Square Enix release of this game, I want it more and more! I'm glad this trailer wasn't as Serah heavy as the one before. That girl annoys me to no end. Too cutesy and useless looking. There's every chance of her being incredibly relevant to the plot. With any luck...

Putting down the Left 4 dead 2 haterade

I tried to be a pissy bastard and not like this game. But Valve have gone and dropped a trailer that has gone and done it... A month after buying the game came the announcement that a sequel was in the works, set for a November release no less! I was suppressing the livid when I heard about this. "I spend forty quid on the first game and now there's a second!?" I was mad. I was pissed off. And also stupid. I'lla dmit that much. It wasn't like the first game was new when I bought it. It was continuing to sell, yet fans wanted more. The game heading to Xbox 360 was also a good look. So of course Valve were going to put out a sequel instead of constant DLC's. So I'm now liking Left 4 dead 2 . Not enough to buy the game. Something about the campaigns just aren't doing it for me. The day light, samey locations, too much orange. But the game looks as fun as the original, looks to have some killer (literally) set pieces and we actually have a story and some ...

The Darkside appeals

This more or less looks the same as Umbrella chronicles from a game play and graphical standpoint. But the story is looking like it'll shed some light on a couple of things. Namely what happened pre- Resident evil 4 . Krauser making like Snake Eater and Bad ass Leon working together side by side in their own chapter is intriguing. I'm glad bad ass Leon will be making an appearance. Little 'Police bitch uniform, white plimmie, gangsta hop through a wooden door' Leon weren't doin' it for me. But black t-shirt, 'My ass has been hittin' a gym', gun harness rockin', size 10 boot through a mutha f**kin' do' Leon was! Can't wait to see what the deal is with Leon and Krauser, and who the girl in the white dress is. According to Capcom she's pretty central to things. So central that we only get a mention of her now. And in a light gun game on Wii at that. I hope we'll get some scoop on Sherry Birkin too. Judging from the 0:35 mark in ...
